About me

Csilla Horváth, PhD. ✨

I’ve always been deeply curious about people – what shapes us, what we share, and why we make the choices we do. This curiosity led me into academia, where I built a career as a university teacher and researcher in consumer psychology.

My research explored several topics, including compulsive buying, intuition and decision making. Currently, my passion lies in exploring how consumers with ADHD navigate everyday tasks.

My focus on ADHD arose from a personal turning point, when my son was diagnosed with ADHD. His diagnosis made me reflect on my parenting and on myself. It soon led to my own diagnosis, an unexpected but meaningful “gift” for my 50th birthday. At first, it truly felt like a curse. Over time, however, it led me to explore parts of myself that had always been there, quietly opening the door to new paths.

Through this process, I began to see how important it is to look at the whole person. Not only academic performance or so-called “left-brain” abilities, but values, emotions, habits, strengths -the inner world. I also recognized how much many of us with ADHD, adjust and fit in, often losing sight of who we really are. This realization reshaped my research interests and changed the way I look at life.

My true mission is to help people, especially those wit ADHD in a deeper way. So I chose to train as an NLP practitioner and complete an ADHD coaching diploma. This journey, in many ways similar to the one you may start now. It helped me reconnect with parts of myself that had long been hidden behind coping strategies and expectations.

So, I moved beyond the university setting to support people with ADHD in their everyday lives, their confidence, their relationships, and their sense of self.

️My life is so much fuller now and I can be me. ✨
